Jovan Roseboro continues to amaze as he blazes on and on!
If asked to leave your creature comforts at home and head out on foot from your hometown to the captitol, Washington, DC, could you do it? Would you? You would if you are like Jovan Roseboro: author, mentor, philanthropist, speaker, and activist.
As per the April 2009 Press Release, Jovan, headed out on foot with little more than his cell phone, a couple of tee shirts, and his faith. God certainly had his back each and every step as he took the long, arduous journey from Fayyetville, NC to Washing, DC! As promised, Jovan kept a video journal and updated his family, friends, and followers through Facebook.com and Twitter.com.
His efforts are beyond noteworthy! They are to be applauded and glorified! Jovan has done what most folks would deem impossible. Mr. Roseboro has proven that with strong faith, courage, determination, and a desire to effect change anything is possible and The Only One That Can Stop Me is Me!

THE MORATORIUM ON SELFISHNESS WALK
Author/Motivational Speaker Jovan Roseboro walks from Fayettesville, NC to Washington, DC in an effort to encourage selflessness amongst Americans.
Fayyetteville, NC – Jovan Roseboro, author and speaker, will begin the “Moratorium on Selfishness” campaign on Thursday April 23, 2009. A walk that is expected to take 15-20 days beginning in Fayettesville, NC and ending in Washington, D.C. While traveling Jovan will be keeping written and audio records of his travel as he encourages people to be more humane to one another. Mr. Roseboro ask that all recipients of this release forward it so that the message is dispersed throughout the region prior to his arrival in the nation’s capital.
Updates on Jovan’s progress and his location from day to day information will be loaded daily to www.changeispossible.bravehost.com. When available video will also be uploaded to http://www.youtube.com/user/JovanRoseboro. Those willing to sacrifice their time and body to the campaign are encouraged to meet Jovan on the road and join him, those who are unable are asked to during the 15-20 period perform a selfless act for a person in need within in your own community. These acts should continue to pay it forward is Jovan’s desire.
Mr. Roseboro attributes his motivation to spearhead such an undertaking with little resources and finances to Pres. Obama, he believes that showing children an ordinary person making an extraordinary sacrifice will encourage others to be more selfless. Jovan considers this his contribution to the change that our country desires and needs. His devotion to the project mirroring the title of his book “The Only One Who Can Stop Me Is Me”, Jovan has began this journey alone. The solution to a majority of our problems is quite simple. Think that you can. You might ask, “Tell me this, what good can come from negative thinking?” You’re absolutely right, none.
You probably have been in situations in your life when you pushed and pushed for something you wanted really badly. If it was a car or home, you probably worked extra hours, picked up a second job, sacrificed vacations; whatever it was, you did not let negative thinking keep you from accomplishing your goal.
