Time to recognize the view of my life
Riding a carousel with
An uphill gradient;
Destination filled with oppression
and no possible progression!
Time to eradicate the black clouds
stacked against me
As if life fell apart – I felt my brain implode!
Oh, no!!
Enraged, inflamed;
Gone insane!
Time to defy, to magnify,
to rectify …
Stirred to attempt to nullify
the jangled waste of my life!
As it all fell apart,
Sleep elusive
Dreamless existence,
Able to examine and correct the
State of my confusion!
With renewed conviction I embarked on a more
Positive Expedition … Read the rest of this entry »

Touch The Beauty Inside
I may look different on the outside,
You can never capture my beauty inside.
God gave me a more precious gift
Beyond the eyes of your seeing.
Touch The Beauty Inside Of Me,
Look not for reasons to hurt with cruel words.
My heart can hurt as yours would,
Causing sorrowful tears to fall.
We can make a better tomorrow,
By joining our hands together,
Helping another win in their battles,
While planting God’s healing seed.
God gave us all the special gift,
To share our love abundantly.
Together we can make a difference,
To the struggling world of woe.
Touch The Beauty Inside Of All,
Lending a helping hand in need,
Using God’s special gift,
Making another person’s life better.

Inspirational Poet Melissa R. Martin, Author of Trapped in My Pen, (released 2008, Candalyse Publishing) is set to release her second book.
Mountain Tops and Lighthouses
Melissa R. Martin has a lot to be grateful for. Her strong faith and unwavering perseverance enabled her to escape a violent marriage and begin her life anew. Her first book, Trapped in My Pen, has received worldwide acclaim and is empowering women to take a stand against domestic violence.
When the storms of life are raging
In the midst of churning seas
When I’m going under for the third time
A voice whispers to me
Fear not my weary my little one
Be not troubled, nor be afraid
Trust in the One who only speaks
And the wind and seas obey
Skies may darken, winds may blow
Tough times, hard to get through
But mountain tops and light houses
Are always within view
The anchor holds you securely
Still holding, in spite of the storm
Morning is coming, I’m right here with you
And no one will cause you harm

Your boat may drift aimlessly
Take you treacherously from the shore
But abide in me, and I will see
You safely home once more
Storms of life, they come and go
The valleys are before you too
But mountain tops and light houses
Are always within view.
