- 1500-3000 words describing a traumatic life experience when extreme adversity threatened you physically, emotionally or spiritually

- Title the chapter

- Change names of real people or provide release form giving permission to write about them

- Focus on one specific event- share what happened, how you felt, what you did to overcome and triumph over the adversity
