Touch The Beauty Inside
I may look different on the outside,
You can never capture my beauty inside.
God gave me a more precious gift
Beyond the eyes of your seeing.
Touch The Beauty Inside Of Me,
Look not for reasons to hurt with cruel words.
My heart can hurt as yours would,
Causing sorrowful tears to fall.
We can make a better tomorrow,
By joining our hands together,
Helping another win in their battles,
While planting God’s healing seed.
God gave us all the special gift,
To share our love abundantly.
Together we can make a difference,
To the struggling world of woe.
Touch The Beauty Inside Of All,
Lending a helping hand in need,
Using God’s special gift,
Making another person’s life better.

Through the woods
On the way to work I noticed
That the sky was bluer Read the rest of this entry »

My Name Is NOT Monkey Girl

NEW YORK, NY — Nov. 7, 2007 (eMediaCampaigns!) — Author Miriam Jacobs is on a mission. The five-time author recently announced that she has set out to raise funds for facial reconstructive surgeries for her 8 year-old granddaughter, Candace. Along the way, she is promoting tolerance, education, and compassion for those who have Giant Congenital Nevus; a rare skin disorder that Candace was born with.
“My Name is Not Monkey Girl” (Candalyse Publishing, 2007) serves as a tremendous resource for parents, teachers, grandparents, schools and libraries alike. It was written with the aim of teaching children the importance of unconditional kindness, patience, love, tolerance and compassion. And inspired after a child called Candace a monkey girl. At the time, Candace was Read the rest of this entry »

Let us raise our children to believe in themselves…
Teach them, from an early age, that they can do and be whatever they set their minds to.. Self-esteem is the key!
Do you sometimes find yourself staring at others who are not typical in appearance?
Do you often judge others based on what they are wearing, or their hair styles, or their choice in make-up? If the object of your staring is extremely obese or terribly anorexic, does it bring about uncomfortable feelings deep in your gut?
If you have answered any of these queries in the affirmative, then you are, unfortunately, a part of our society who puts way too much emphasis on outward appearance. Read the rest of this entry »
